We are poised at the very edge of a revolution in the way we
understand the world and universe around us. Over the next few
years, a growing array of Earth-orbiting satellites, robotic space
missions, and a near permanent human presence in space will provide
scientists with a vast wealth of data. Furthermore, interactive
map displays and other advanced visualization technologies along
with nearly ubiquitous access to the Internet enable people all
over the world to explore these data and see Earth and space in
ways never before possible.
The mission of the Center for Earth and Space Science Education
is to help extend this revolution in how we see our world and
explore the universe to large numbers of students, teachers and
the general public.
